When sizing a dedicated monitoring server, take into account both the total number of unique SAP System IDs (SIDs) and the total number of application server instances. Use whichever value is higher to determine the sizing.

- A dedicated server isn't required when the total monitored SIDs are fewer than 10 and the instances don't exceed 50. When the SIDs exceed 10 or the instances exceed 100, we recommend a dedicated server.
- A dedicated server should have no more than two App Server instances, each with 96G of memory and 12 Core CPUs. If the monitoring system runs on a HANA database, we recommend separating the database server instances from the application server instances.
